Macon, GA – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Athletics Department has announced the men's basketball 2019-20 season schedule. The Titans will play in 17 home games and 16 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) conference games, with home-and-home series against South Georgia Technical College, South Georgia State College, Albany Technical College, Gordon State College, East Georgia State College, Andrew College, Georgia Highlands, and Southern Crescent Technical College.
Following four pre-season exhibition games, the Titans will open the season at home in the CGTC Classic on November 1 against Georgia Gwinnett College and November 2 against American Basketball Institute in Warner Robins.
The Titans will then head to Alabama to face Bevill State Community College (11/7) and Shelton State Community College (11/8), before returning home for a two-game stand of non-conference match-ups.
The team will close out pre-season action on the road in the South Georgia Tech Classic December 28-29.
In their first conference game of the season, the Titans will travel to Americus on January 4 to face South Georgia Technical College.
The remaining 15 regular season games for the Titans will come against conference opponents. Notable games of the final two months include a match-up on January 29 and the season-closer on February 29 versus the 2018-19 GCAA Division I Runner-up, Georgia Highlands College.
The men's basketball team finished the 2018-19 season with a 24-8 overall record and an 11-5 record in the conference.
In an attempt to defend their back-to-back conference titles, the Titans will rely on the leadership of sole returner, Champ Dawson, paired with the top talent of several newcomers.
