CGTC Men's Basketball Titans Start 2026 on a Six-Game Winning Streak
MACON, Ga - The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) men's basketball team is riding high into the new year, currently on a six-game winning streak that has energized the Titans faithful and pushed the squad into the heart of the 2025-26 season.
CGTC's balanced attack and improving efficiency have been the hallmark of the surge, as the Titans (11-5, 4-0) are averaging 79.0 points per game while shooting an efficient 48.8% from the field and 61.3% from the free-throw line through their first 15 games of the season. The team also averages 36.4 rebounds and 12.5 assists, underscoring a commitment to sharing the ball and controlling the glass.
The six-game winning streak includes an average margin of victory of 23.5 points.
"We talked about finishing 2025 strong, and these guys have that mentality into the new year," said Head Coach, Gerald Fitch. "Our defense has been tough, our offense has been unselfish, and the chemistry is evident when you watch them play."
The Titans have picked up wins against a mix of confence and non-conference foes, showcasing resilence and depth in every quarter. Central Georgia Tech's balanced scoring and defensive intensity have been key in turning close contests into decisive victories during the streak.
Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Titans as they look to extend the streak on the road at Gordon State College on Saturday at 2 pm, and at Titans Arena in Macon against Albany Tech on January 28 at 7:30 pm.
