Macon, GA – In their third game in as many days, the CGTC Lady Titans (3-13, 3-12) closed out the regular season with a 51-50 victory over Andrew College (2-13, 1-13).

While the Lady Titans struggled offensively, shooting 18 of 56 (32.1%) from the field, their tough defense and control of the boards kept the game in reach.

Trailing 40-32 in the third quarter, the momentum shifted in the Lady Titans' favor with a steal from Dynesha Brown that led to a 3-point basket from Avanna Preston.

Going on an 11-3 run, the Lady Titans tied the game at 43 all following two made free throws from Hayleigh Ross with 3:52 left in the game.

Breaking from a timeout with :27 left to play, the Lady Titans went up 49-47 with a layup by Juanisha Black that resulted from a direct pass from Dynesha Brown off a sideline inbounds play.

With :17 remaining, Tamira Anderson stole the ball from Andrew College, forcing the Lady Tigers to foul. Anderson scored the eventual game-winning point as she knocked down both free throws, pushing the Lady Titans' lead to 51-47.

While Andrew College knocked down a deep 3-point basket with :08 left, the Titans were able to close out the game on a defensive stop.

Hayleigh Ross was the only Lady Titan to score in double-figures, finishing with 14 points, four rebounds, and three steals.

Juanisha Black played a major role in the win, tallying five points, 13 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.

The win against Andrew College allowed the Lady Titans to notch the fifth-place conference finish in the regular season.
