Warner Robins, Ga. - Titans Women's soccer travels to USC Sumter in South Carolina to open the 2025 season on Saturday, August 23 at 1 p.m.

The Titans come off a solid inaugural season, finishing with a 5-9 (3-8 GCAA) record. Individually, leading scorer and returning forward Rosacecilia Lopez and midfielder Haley Kitchens earned all-region honors for 2024.

" I am super excited about this year," said Kitchens, who was voted as captain by her teammates for the 2025 season, alongside Laura Bautista. "We have put in so much work this offseason, training almost every morning. I am hoping we are able to turn that into good communication, score a lot of goals, and win some more games."

New programs often have their share of challenges, mainly depth and health, but according to new head coach Annette Weiche, there is hope that added recruits and offseason work for year two can help keep them competitive throughout the whole season.

"We want to build on last year, get more program wins, and lean on more players," said Weiche, who served as an assistant in 2024."We have a motto this year of "ONE HEARTBEAT", and we want to build on that on and off the field.

USC Sumter will be a welcome challenge for the Titans, The Fire Ants, are a new addition to the schedule for 2025 out of Region-10 of the NJCAA. In 2024, the Fire Ants won against CGTC Conference team, Oxford Emory University, by a score of 3-0.
